COVID-19

We intend to follow or exceed the guidelines, recommendations, and best practices provided by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), New York State Department of Health, and St. Lawrence County Public Health Department.

Vaccination: If you have been vaccinated, we offer congratulations and gratitude. You’ve brought us one step closer to herd immunity.

Masking: Masking remains advisable for individuals who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19, particularly indoors.

Social distancing: We recommend maintaining a minimum of six feet of separation between yourself and individuals who are not in your party. We recommend against indoor socialization, particularly for extended periods of time or when speaking or singing at a high volume.

Ventilation: Good ventilation can reduce the chance of spreading the virus. If you must spend time indoors with other parties, we encourage you to open windows and doors. Socializing outside is safer than inside.

Fish house: Members of different parties should not use the fish house at the same time.

Co-morbidities: A wide variety of conditions place individuals at elevated risk from COVID-19, including but not limited to advanced age, cancer, kidney disease, COPD, Down Syndrome, heart conditions, compromised immune system, obesity, pregnancy, sickle cell disease, and diabetes. We strongly encourage guests with any of these conditions to be particularly careful with their COVID-19 precautions.

Positive test or known exposure: If you test positive for COVID-19, experience symptoms, or have a known exposure prior to your vacation, please inform us immediately and we will work to reschedule or refund deposits; guests with an active COVID-19 infection are not permitted to register. If you develop COVID-19 symptoms within fourteen days of your stay, we ask that you inform us so that we can advise other guests of potential exposure.

Travel: Guests must comply with New York State travel restrictions. Guests should not plan to quarantine at the camp.

Disinfection: Hand sanitizer is provided in all cottages and in the fish house. All cottages have soap for handwashing.

Cleaning and ventilation: We clean cottages between guest parties, including disinfection of surfaces and commonly-touched areas (such as light switches and doorknobs). We will also leave windows open (weather permitting) and operate fans to encourage air circulation.

Hosts: The Millers are vaccinated and will generally mask when inside cottages and other buildings. We will conduct business outside whenever possible.
